![]() The DD or other ships with cruiser torps etc can be defanged by approaching closer than its arm distance. You can self learn by checking WG Wiki, youtube and twitch There are tons of game mechanics to learn, then practice them through many battles to get better at. ![]() I then learn my bb shell dam value so that when to switch or not switch. I also learn to identify their armour so that I know which shell type I can use to inflict severe dam or devastate strike ![]() I also learn which dd have 2 rack of torp and how many torps per rack, I learn their reload time so that these info can help me to combat them Use the visual to check the smoke and guessing their dd where about by getting into dd player mind (by playing dd so I can at least guessing if dd player is on the right side or left side, trigger happy dd or conservative dd players (conservation dd player is harder to deal with)). I will learn to see smoke, use the situation awareness and decided when to charge the smoke or when not to charge the smoke. I can even ask if the team can provide alternate use of radar/hydro, spot plane/fighter planes to early detect, guesstimate where about, so I can change my speed/direction/baiting torps. ![]() I will use all the available consumable at my disposal to help to detect them asap even have to travel with other cruiser with radar, hydro. So that I wont get in their 4km torp range.įor mid range torp (6.5km, 8km, 10km) ship capacity, I most like carefully lay out my patch in according with how the battle span out. If I see short range torp eg Russian dd with 4km torp or cruiser with 4km torps I will making sure I check my mini map constantly (because their detection is very big). ![]() Also, if I know there are ships with long range torp capacity (asashio, yoshino, zao, shima, gearing) their range from 20 km to 16.5km I will be more extremely careful, I will varies my speed and changed my directions every 30 secs count. Places like around the island edges, tight channel (two brother map, middle channel) etc are best place for dd to ambush unsuspected bb player. Rule of thumb when playing BB, DO NOT EVER LET A DD get within your 2km radius. ![]()
